    Our website is massive!  To pay a web developer to recreate this website would be extremely expensive.  In addition, someone would have to look up and recreate the data on each of the 2000 +/- plants.  This information has taken us years to amass.  Each plant has a description online and most plants have a photo page. 

 

    Our website is set up to place high in the rankings of search engines, especially Google which is used by about 80% of people using the Internet.

      Note:  Unlike a Retail Nursery or Garden Center, a mail order business doesn't have a lot of tangible assets if viewed independently of the Nursery Property and Inventory.  The collection of plant photos is one of those assets and is extremely valuable because one cannot publish a photo of a plant online without being the owner of that photo or paying for rights to use the photo.  Plants do not sell online nearly as well without photos!   MANY of our plants are rare, in some cases we're the only source in the country for them, so businesses supply 'stock photos' aren't going to have photos.  In general, IF you can find a plant image that is available for 'lease' online, the rate usually runs around $100-$300 or MUCH more for photos of more rare plants.  When you consider that we sell over 2000 +/- plants online, leasing photos for those plants would run around $200-300,000!    And that allows for 1 image per plant.  In general, our photo pages have 3 photos of each plant!  We have sold the right of usage to Tag Companies of some of the photos for $80 a piece.  The new owner would, of course, own the right to the photos to sell or publish in any way they desired.
